I’ve covered the Men’s rights outfit on Reddit before, but since it’s been over a year since then, I thought I’d peruse it again.
Has it changed? Has it metamorphosed from a Feminist-apologist hang-out, into a genuine platform for the discussion of men’s rights?
I couldn’t really say because my first foray back into their forum was so disappointing, I find myself averse to exploring further. Suffice to say that for now, Reddit men’s rights appears to be the same now as it was last year: not a place I could recommend for the real-deal of male perspective. Undoubtedly good in parts, but it still leaves a slightly nasty taste in the mouth.

It all started here and if you’re not familiar with the issue, I suggest you read it before continuing.
The disappointment came with this mess of froth and bubble posing as reaction to the trite words of a self-confessed bigot. These individuals are so pleased that a spiteful and man-hating woman has put forward an insincere apology for her hatred, that virtually every commenter falls over themselves to be more positive and thankful for her munificence than the last.
One even suggests sending her a fruit basket as thanks for her apology.
I’ll say that again.

Yep, a fruit basket. And he was up-voted aplenty.
It is a spectacle to behold: a strange twilight-zone-like affair. The kind of thing you see in B-movies where everyone claps each others backs thinking that the danger has passed and all is now safe, but the audience knows the bad guy isn’t finished yet and he’s still coming. How do they know? Because there’s still 20 minutes of run-time left, that’s how.
For more credible analysis of the Jenna Myers Karvunidis (the aforementioned bigot) ‘apology’, please do yourself a favour and look here instead.
Why these Reddit jokers are so willing to believe that a sinner has turned into a saint in something less than the blink-of-an-eye is mystifying, but there it is.
It ain’t all bad, I suppose
To quote a rare cool-head on Reddit:
“Woman states the hateful falsehood that “99% of sexual predators are men”.
When this is refuted with genuine stats, she describes the men that argue with her as “perverts trying to get into her daughters pants”.
She then cites the 99% figure as her reason for not wanting dads to do toilet duty especially because “the bathroom is separated from the classroom by two concrete walls and a hallway”.
She describes herself as a “sexist” and states her mind will “never” be changed about this.
She says “high fives for mama bears” when she gets the pre-school to disallow fathers to do toilet duty for her daughter and revisit their general procedures as regards men and toilet duty.
Many women agree with her position on her blog.
It’s misandry as usual, ticking along nicely for a short while.
But then…
She gets profiled on register-her.
Miraculously, and inside of 48 hours, the avowed never-to-be-turned sexist issues an apology.
And offers a “significant” donation to AVfM and assorted promises in exchange for her name being taken off the register.
The folk at reddit men’s rights swoon with relief and victory.
What a great gal.
We should “remove her” from register-her .
And offer her an “apology” if some went a bit too far in responding to her.
And maybe send her a “fruit basket”.
All is right with the world.
If this was on television we wouldn’t believe that people could be so easily duped. A kind word or two from a self-confessed bigot, and it’s dancing girls and “fruit baskets”.

Simple they want to get into her pants.
These dolts actually believe they would have a shot.
They are the real mothers basement dwellers with a bottle of lube in one hand and a game controller in the other.
Maybe there are many women among the commenters, and the men are those who fall easily for puppy dog eyes and are immediately in protective mode once a woman craves victimhood like Jenna does.
Maybe they fell hard before so they sought a men’s rights forum, but they need to fall hard a few times more in order for the red pill to take effect.
I don’t know reddit men’s rights well, and thank to this article I’m in no hurry to change that
Everyone should make their own decisions regarding that place. I’ve made mine.
I haven’t cruised through that part of reddit. And I doubt that I will. That sort of thing turns my stomach.
I do have a theory, however: Youth and lack of experience. Seems to me that cyber-locale represents a pretty young demographic. That causes them to not see gray areas and the larger picture. They tend to think this will be a short fight, since they only just recently joined it.
Its an explanation, not an excuse.

At times like this, and particularly on forums where you can’t really be sure of the sex of the person posting, I always question their sex. We tend to accept their promoted sex all too easily…I tend to keep an open mind, and look at the possibility that the so-called men’s rights poster could in actual fact be a woman banging out the peace drum. It’s totally possible!
If this vagina worshipper is in actual fact a man…then I question his position in being an advocate for men’s rights in the first place.
Scatmaster could be on the money when he mentions they are just essentially “sucking up”…because in their deluded minds they actually believe they could potentially attract this vile woman. If you want internet dating guys then use dating sites; not sites that purport to represent the rights and issues of the male race.
