The point Erin makes about men seeing women as a virginal figure of undying virtue to be placed on a pedastal is what motivated me to make this film and leave it in public places. It had a huge impact and has burst that bubble for many people who saw it. Video works.

Here is something sobering to think about. The study referenced in this film carried out by the Home Office in 1996 and labeled HOS 191 was carried out between the hours of 9am to 5pm. I know because I took part in that survey myself. It’s conclusions were that an equal amount of men and women suffered domestic abuse. 4.2% of men and 4.2% of women. Yet the overwhelming fact is that the study spoke to vastly more women than men because most men were not at home during the hours the study was carried out. This was admitted to by the woman who came to my house to conduct the survey. How would the figure of 4.2% of male victims have been swollen if as many men were at home during the study as females? This is important because understanding this fact throws a whole new light on how many men suffer violence in the home and it is a lot more than this, the largest domestic abuse study using scientific means ever carried out, shows. Add to this the fact that it is well known that most men will not openly admit to have suffered domestic abuse; or not realise that what they are suffering IS abuse; when you think about that 4.2% of men revealed by the study you quickly realise how innacurate a figure it really is. The real number of males being abused must be much, much, higher.
Great series, but humanity never corrects it’s falsehoods until maximum damage and chaos that admits no other solution. Warning our young men and boys about where this is going needs to become the priority. Ideologies of hate always yield holocaust.
